Gilbert Laurence lock Nuts

Locking Nuts

Locking nuts resist loosening when exposed to vibrations or torque. They are almost always used in conjunction with a threaded screw, to fasten two or more parts together. The two partners are kept together by a combination of their threads friction, and a slight stretching of the screw.

  • Spanner size can be determined by measuring the across flats of the nut
  • Thread size can be determined by measureing the inside diameter of the nut
